San Elijo Hills homes in the Calistoga subdivision.  Here is Chaco’s ‘no bull’ buyers agent synopsis:
HIGHLIGHTS inlcude the following: PROS  CONS  FLOORPLANS Elevator-Pitch SECRETS RECENT SALES

Pros:

-across one street from both the San Elijo Hills Elementary and Middle Schools, making this subdivision the absolute most walkable to school and located on the Garden Trail

-some excellent elevation and views from the top of Calistoga Way

-three meandering lanes with 4 cul de sacs (no straight line tract development looks great unless it’s heavily landscaped with mature trees)

-one floorplan features a unique ‘Mission’ style of architectural façade reminiscent of California’s Spanish missions

-lower monthly fees of $255 built in 2002-2004.

-Continental Homes is actually a subsidiary of DR Horton a quality home builder still building in San Elijo Hills as of late 2011.

Cons:

-ROAD NOISE.  Many homes along on Kenwood Place backup to Elfin Forest Road suffer from consistent road noise and traffic dust.

-POWER LINES.  Many homes  on each street look south through powerlines and lattice towers.  Click here for a quick view of the location of the power lines.

-Rectangular lots and homes force a less than desirable floorplan for some.

Calistoga is the single-family home subdivision in San Elijo Hills that is closest to school.  This subdivision is literally across the street from the San Elijo Elementary and
Middle Schools.  If being close enough to school is important and you can get by living in a home under 2,400sf, this may be the spot.  A bonus it that San Elijo
Hills largest community garden is just steps away from Calistoga Way.
